Every year as a nation we always insist on leaving everything to the minute, and especially as Christmas is such a mad rush, it is easy to let things slip your mind. To help ensure that all your beautiful Christmas cards and lovely presents get to the recipient in time, we have detailed the last recommended posting date to avoid disappointment and any added stress.
Royal Mail has revealed the latest dates for sending post for business account customers, which will ensure orders come in time for the Christmas bank holidays. Also it will ensure that your clients or customers will be kept happy as they won’t be waiting for their packages until the New Year.
A spokesperson for the Royal Mail said: “Our business mail services provide a vital link between businesses and their customers all year round and especially during the festive season. As always, we urge customers to talk to us about their expected volumes and to post early to avoid the last-minute Christmas rush.”
They recommend sending letters and parcels by Tuesday December 19th this year for Royal Mail 48, and suggest that using Royal Mail Tracked 48 or Royal Mail 24 services would still be okay to use on the 20th December, however can’t be guaranteed.
Alternatively, if you are one of those customers who tend to leave everything to the last-minute, you will still be able to send your packages in time for Christmas by using the Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed and the Royal Mail Tracked 24 services as long as they are set on Thursday 21st December
As Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Royal Mail, they have suggested that business customers book their collections in advance so they can have a better idea of what volumes to expect over the season, and therefore can put additional services in place
